Crispy Hot Honey Chicken Tenders

Ingredients
- For the chicken
- 500 g chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For the coating
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- For the hot honey
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon butter
Instructions
- Place the chicken tenders in a bowl with buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Mix flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper in another bowl.
- Coat each chicken tender well in the dry mixture.
- Heat oil in a frying pan or deep fryer.
- Fry the chicken for about 4–5 minutes per side until deeply golden and cooked through.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, chili flakes and butter.
- Heat gently until glossy and slightly thickened.
- Drizzle the hot honey over the crispy chicken just before serving.
- Finish with extra chili flakes if desired.
