Spicy Chili Korean Grilled Tofu with Garlic Butter Bok Choy

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 heads of baby bok choy, halved
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 green onion, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the tofu into 1-inch thick slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
  3. Marinate tofu slices in the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  5. Brush the grill with vegetable oil and grill tofu slices for 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and heated through.
  6. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add bok choy halves and cook for 3-4 minutes, until tender. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve grilled tofu over garlic butter bok choy. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion if desired.
