Thai Stir-Fried Lemongrass Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 stalks lemongrass, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the lemongrass, garlic, and red chili to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in the lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Cook for another 2 minutes, ensuring the shrimp are well coated in the sauce.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
