Spicy Chili Stir-Fried Tofu with Zucchini

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and stir-fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the sliced zucchinis to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix chili paste, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  7. Pour the sauce over the tofu and zucchini, stirring well to combine.
  8. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
